Prayer & Worship
|Our common worship strives to bring healing to members of our parish and neighborhood. We name issues of struggle and hopelessness, including our addictions, our long-term mental illness and the brutality of homelessness as we celebrate the Mass every day. We celebrate Anointing of the Sick every week because we do not have quick and easy answers for healing. Christ’s passion, death and resurrection provide healing in our lives of urban poverty. Our worship at Saint André Bessette Catholic Church compels us into loving service and healing hospitality.
||Our Parish Prayer|
O God of our longing, we stand at your door yearning to be received as we are. We are people searching for a home and recovery from our addictions. We are people suffering from illnesses of mind and body. We are rich and poor and always in need of one another. Open your generous love to all who ache for your grace and companionship.
Hear the prayers of our hearts that sound from the streets and burden our lives. Relieve our hunger for hope. Through the intercession of Blessed Basil Moreau and Saint André Bessette, we ask your healing in the promise of Jesus,the Christ, your Son, living now and forever.
You are invited to leave as detailed a message as you like (names, dates, circumstances) and your request will be prayed for by
members of our parish Prayer Tree.
The Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA) is the process through which interested adults are gradually introduced to the Roman Catholic faith and way of life. RCIA meets on Sundays from 8:30am - 9:45am.
